Deal: Amazon Fire Phone (32GB, Unlocked) Drops to $199 Without a Contracthttp://www.tokisolutions.com/deal-amazon-fire-phone-32gb-unlocked-drops-to-199-without-a-contract/ http://www.tokisolutions.com/deal-amazon-fire-phone-32gb-unlocked-drops-to-199-without-a-contract/#comments Wed, 26 Nov 2014 05:42:27 +0000 https://www.tokisolutions.com/deal-amazon-fire-phone-32gb-unlocked-drops-to-199-without-a-contract/ I don't really know what to say with this one other than, yep, the failure that is/was the Amazon Fire Phone is finally priced where it should have been out of the gate. For $199, and without a contract or AT&T involvement, you can buy Amazon's first, ultra-gimmicky phone.

This unlocked model includes 32GB of storage and works on the following GSM networks, according to Amazon – “All GSM Networks including AT&T, T-Mobile, Walmart Family Mobile, MetroPCS, Brightspot, Simple Mobile, Mobal, Net10, Straight Talk, h20 Wireless, and OneSimCard.” CDMA networks like Sprint and Verizon are not compatible.

If you don't even want to shell out $200 to tinker with Amazon's take on a phone, keep in mind that when you purchase this phone, you also get a year free of Amazon Prime. Amazon Prime now costs $99 per year, so you are really getting the Fire Phone for $100, depending on how you look at it.

Cheers Joey!

Motorola’s Cyber Monday Deal: $359 for the Moto X (2nd Gen), 30% Off Accessorieshttp://www.tokisolutions.com/motorolas-cyber-monday-deal-359-for-the-moto-x-2nd-gen-30-off-accessories/ http://www.tokisolutions.com/motorolas-cyber-monday-deal-359-for-the-moto-x-2nd-gen-30-off-accessories/#comments Wed, 26 Nov 2014 05:31:19 +0000 https://www.tokisolutions.com/motorolas-cyber-monday-deal-359-for-the-moto-x-2nd-gen-30-off-accessories/ Motorola unveiled its much-anticipated Cyber Monday deal this evening, announcing that they would be slashing the price of the new Moto X (2nd Gen) by $140, while also discounting accessories that you buy with it by 30%. If we do a little math, that drops the $499 Moto X (2nd gen) down to $359 without a contract. That, my friends, is a really good deal. We are talking a phone that is up for phone of the year in the minds of most tech reviewers.

If you decide you don't want to go the off-contract route, Motorola and Verizon are also discounting the Big Red variant to $0.01 when you sign your life away for two years.

How do you get in on the deal? Like last year, Motorola is doing a sign-up process that involves redemption codes. In order to receive a code, you need to head to this link at 11AM Central (12PM Eastern, 9AM Pacific) on December 1 and fill out the accompanying form. Once you fill out the form, you will receive a confirmation email followed by a code that must be used during checkout before Monday, December 15, at 11:59PM Central. In other words, you have two weeks to use it.

Here are the details once again:

$140 off the price of an off-contract Moto X (2nd gen.).
Moto X (2nd gen.) on Verizon Wireless starting at one cent. If a consumer signs up for a new account, has an eligible upgrade, or adds a line, they can get a 16gb Moto X for $.01, 32Gb for $50.01. Wood and leather available for an additional $25
30% off any accessories with the purchase of a Moto X (2nd gen.)*.
Registration for the code is Mon, Dec. 1, from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm CST OR while supplies last
Codes must be redeemed by Monday 12/15 11:59 pm CST.
THIS IS YOUR LINK TO CLAIM A REDEMPTION CODE.

Got it?

If you feel like playing with Moto Maker and deciding on the custom Moto X you will make come Monday, head to this link.

Amazon was forced to concede that its much-anticipated Fire Phone was not a big seller when AT&T dropped the price mere weeks after it was released. When the retailer's quarterly results were announced, we learned the scale of the screw up. Now Amazon is washing its hands of the whole mess. It's unloading unsold 32GB Fire Phones unlocked for $199 off-contract. The off-contract price at launch was $650 and AT&T charged $199 with a 2-year agreement.

Valiant Hearts isn't your usual war game. You won't be blasting through thousands of bad guys like BJ Blazkowitz, you won't be commanding an entire army like an over-the-top Command & Conquer general. Valiant Hearts is incredibly story focused, as it considers itself more of a playable comic book than a video game. It's also about World War I, which hasn't exactly been a popular subject for video games.

This trailer is for the PC and console version, but the mobile version looks very similar.

You may not be able to tell from the product icon but B&H, purveyor of everything photo, video, and audio, has updated its app with tons of material-inspired elements.

Apparently inspired by Google's new design direction, the company's app is now jam-packed with illustrations, material-inspired transitions, vivid colors and cards.

The app's approach to organizing information swings in both directions - the home page serves up a huge, colorful illustration, along with bright promotional cards and shortcuts (along with a search FAB).
