MTG signs Latvian cable deals
The leading Latvian cable operator Baltcom has told its subscribers that they will be able to receive the Modern Times Group (MTG)-owned channels LNT and TV3 from April 1.
In a statement, it says that this follows an agreement with MTG and there will be no increase in the fees paid by subscribers.
However, it adds that the cost of distributing LNT and TV3 will place an additional burden on itself.
The agreement between the two parties has been brought about by legislative changes.
These have also seen Izzi, Latvia’s second largest cable operator, sign a deal with MTG this week.
